Open Professorship/Associate Professorship in Magnetic Resonance at Southampton UK

A position is now open at the School of Chemistry of the University of Southampton, for a magnetic resonance spectroscopist at either the professorial or the associate professorial level. The successful applicant will join the MagRes research section, which provides a vibrant multidisciplinary atmosphere with high expertise, especially in the theory and methodology of NMR, spin dynamics, and spin dynamical computations. The centre runs numerous NMR instruments equipped with a wide range of probes and consoles, including non-standard facilities for cryogenic NMR, microfluidic NMR, fast sample shuttling, small-scale MRI, magic-angle spinning, parahydrogen-enhanced NMR, etc. The atmosphere in the department and university is very good and all members of the section have numerous collaborations within the department as well as between faculties and internationally. For those interested in structural characterisations, the department is also home to a national X-ray crystallography service, with an exciting new addition of a high-end electron diffraction instrument (https://www.southampton.ac.uk/news/2023/01/crystal-electron.page).  We are hoping to attract an adventurous and ambitious candidate who can take full advantage of the excellent opportunities here for high-end interdisciplinary and collaborative magnetic resonance. The position and the application procedure is specified here: https://jobs.soton.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=2612424EB
