ISMAR mourns the passing of James S. Hyde, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Biophysics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), who passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years, on August 13, 2022. Jim was a giant in multiple fields and an ISMAR Fellow. His brilliant ideas and research shaped the fields of EPR and MRI and were instrumental to the formation of the National Biomedical EPR Center and the Biophysics Research Institute, which then became the Department of Biophysics at MCW.
