ISMAR conferences are major international conferences, which usually attract up to about 1000 attendants. They were held triennially from 1971 through 2013 and have been held biennially since 2013. As shown below, these conferences span the globe and attract scientists from all continents, featuring plenary, invited, and contributed presentations on topics from all subfields of magnetic resonance. Each conference depends heavily on the efforts of a Local Organizing Committee, which is typically comprised of scientists from the country or region where the conference takes place, as well as the efforts of a Scientific Program Committee with international membership, which is appointed by ISMAR.
