Computational NMR position in Leipzig

Dear Colleagues,

A position (Ph.D. or postdoc) is currently available in my group at the Institute for Medical Physics and Biophysics at Leipzig University (https://biophysik.medizin.uni-leipzig.de/research/dr-albert-a-smith-penzel/)

My group investigates dynamics in biological systems, in particular developing novel approaches to the joint analysis of MD simulation and NMR relaxation data, providing details into complex dynamics mechanisms. Current research focuses on membranes and membrane proteins and their interactions, where we benefit from close collaboration with the Huster group and SFB 1423 “Structural Dynamics of GPCR Activation and Signaling” (https://research.uni-leipzig.de/sfb1423/).

Interested candidates should send me a CV (albert.smith-penzel@medizin.uni-leipzig.de). Experience in NMR measurement and/or computation work is appreciated, although not required. Interest in learning and applying computational approaches is, however, a must!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,

Albert (Andy) Smith-Penzel
