Postdoc – Enabling phosphatase inhibitor discovery WP-1 (H/F)

You will bring your know-how on the use and interpretation of different NMR technics and you will

develop a project on the implementation of fluorine-19 NMR (FAXS) in order to screen a library of

fluorinated fragments on one or more proteins. You will be able to rely on high level equipment

(600MHz equipped with QCIF cryoprobe) and you will participate in setting up the library of fluorinated

fragments. Your objective is to measure a success rate on fragment screening by 19F-NMR on several

targets and to optimize the method to obtain reliable results in a minimum of time.

 

Key responsibilities

  • To participate in the creation of a fluorinated fragments library dedicated to a family of

proteins

  • To carry out the QC of the library and mixtures of fragments
  • Develop and implement fluorine-19 NMR (FAXS) on a 600MHz NMR spectrometer equipped

with a QCIF cryoprobe. Optimize and validate the method. Test software and estimate the time

saved

  • To perform a fragment screening by fluorine-19 NMR on one or more proteins and determine

a success rate

  • Scientific monitoring, presentation of work and publication

 

Your profile :

- Ph.D in NMR (structural biology or small molecules)

- Mastery of NMR, structural biology, protein NMR, biochemistry, molecular modelling, NMR

structural elucidation, NMR fragments screening, quantitative NMR,

- Expertise with Topspin, Ccpnmr, UNIX/LINUX

- English level (B2 – C1)

- Innovation, creativity, agility and adaptability

- Good communication and integration skills in order to be able to discuss in a friendly and effective

way with all the researchers of the center.

- Team player, organized and curious.
