I lead the bp Investigational Analysis (IA) team in Pangbourne and I have a vacancy for a technologist role focused on NMR spectroscopy.
The IA team has technical expertise across a range of analytical subject areas and provides a troubleshooting forensic service down to a molecular and structural chemistry level across organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. We support internal bp research, product development, product deployment and blend plant activities.
The ideal candidate should have few years of hands-on experience in NMR (liquid and solid state) with track record of method development, data analysis and troubleshooting obtained either during a PhD or equivalent experimental experience. Knowledge of thermal management fluid chemistry will be advantageous but not essential.
