Tenure-Eligible Faculty Position University of Arizona Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (CBC) at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting in Spring 2024. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment within CBC and will have strong opportunities to collaborate with numerous Centers of Excellence across multiple Colleges. To foster diversity in our community, we encourage applicants from diverse perspectives and backgrounds to apply. We seek candidates with a research and education program in biochemistry or biophysics with an emphasis in structural biology or closely related area. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring at both undergraduate and graduate levels and to an inclusive climate supporting diverse students, trainees, staff, and colleagues. We will primarily consider candidates at the Assistant Professor level, but highly qualified candidates will be considered at the Associate Professor rank. Candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous and sustainable research program demonstrated by an excellent track record of creative research accomplishments and external funding. Preference will be given to candidates with a potential to collaborate and participate in strategic initiatives on campus. Candidates at the rank of Associate are expected to have a high level of national and international visibility and significant external funding for their research program.
