Master and PhD positions in Protein Solid-State NMR at Lyon University/CNRS

Dear students, dear colleagues,

we are seeking to fill Master 2 and PhD student positions in our lab, for work in human viral (membrane) protein solid-state NMR. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic students  in chemistry, biochemistry or biophysics, and interest in NMR to join our dynamic and international team. We offer a friendly and collaborative working environment  (https://mmsb.cnrs.fr/equipe/rmn-du-solide-des-proteines/).

Our Institute (MMSB) s a mixed CNRS/Lyon University Unit, located on the Biosciences campus, in close proximity to the city center. MMSB is equipped with a complete state-of-the-art array of biochemistry/molecular biology facilities for cloning, expression and purification of proteins, and has access to several high-field NMR spectrometers at the CRMN Lyon. Access is facilitated to a number of state-of-the-art research platforms as well. (https://mmsb.cnrs.fr)

Techniques used include biochemical methods, including cell-free protein expression with isotopic markers, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and also electron microscopy. The student will be involved in protein production, NMR spectra recording and analysis. S/he will be supervised by the team members involved in the project.

Lyon is a beautiful and highly attractive city, the second largest in France, with excellent connections to Paris, Marseille, and the Alps (https://www.lyon.fr/).

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you are interested, please send your CV and cover letter to a.bockmann@ibcp.fr.
