The Thiele Group (www.thielelab.de) at the Department of Chemistry at
Technical University of Darmstadt is searching for a Postdoc !
The project uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and localised spectroscopy
to investigate the composition and evaporation behaviour of liquid mixtures
on solid surfaces. The understanding of these processes is essential for
many industrial applications, e.g. printing.

The position is available now and the fixed-term contract ends 30.6.2024. It
is a fully funded position within the CRC1194
(https://www.sfb1194.tu-darmstadt.de). An extension of the position for
another four years is possible if our renewal application succeeds.
The prerequisite is a degree in chemistry or physics including a pertinent
doctorate from a university. The applicant should also have mechanical
skills, very good knowledge in the field of NMR spectroscopy and ideally
knowledge in the field of MRI. Additional programming skills and experience
in droplet evaporation or fluid mechanics would be particularly
advantageous.
