PhD in NMR methods at Grenoble Alpes University, France

3-year PhD position: NMR methods for subcellular Metabolomics

A PhD position is available for the development of new NMR methods based on diffusion-ordered spectroscopy for the metabolomics investigation of subcellular compartments from intact cellular material. The project will involve experimental NMR spectroscopy, with aspects of fundamental theory and computational methods, as well as experimental bench work in biology.
The project will be carried out in the group of Dr. Benedicte Elena-Herrmann at the Institute for Advanced Biosciences (IAB) in Grenoble, in collaboration with the team of Pr. Uwe Schlattner at LBFA. We work with top of the art iVDr NMR instrumentation in a strongly interdisciplinary environment at the interface with biomedical research.
More details about the PhD project are available here.

Grenoble, capital of the French Alps, is a major scientific centre, with a large community of international scientists and a diverse cultural environment. It is also a pleasant city, directly surrounded by mountains, with plenty of possibility for outdoors activities throughout the year.
