Natl. Lab. NMR Funded Internship Opportunities

Dear Colleagues,

The US Department of Energy funds a number of internship and exchange programs to help broaden the impacts of national labs to a wider part of the population. Internship opportunities are available at the undergraduate, graduate, and faculty levels. If you, or anyone you know is interested in learning solid-state NMR, fast-MAS, or DNP with us, or just take advantage of our facilities for their research through a funded collaboration please contact me.  Here is some information on the various internship/exchange programs:

SULI (Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships)
https://www.ameslab.gov/education-programs/science-undergraduate-laboratory-internships
An undergraduate student is funded to join the group for 4 months during which he is assigned a research project and learns new techniques and methods.

SCGSR (Science Graduate Student Research Program)
https://www.ameslab.gov/education-programs/science-graduate-student-research-program
With the SCGSR program a graduate student is funded for up to 6 months to travel to a national lab and carry out experiments using the facilities there in support of their graduate degree.

CCI (Community College Internship)
https://www.ameslab.gov/education-programs/community-college-internships
A program similar to SULI but geared towards community college students.

VFP (Visiting Faculty Program)
https://www.ameslab.gov/education-programs/visiting-faculty-program
The VFP program supports a faculty member and undergraduate students who wish to go to a national lab for a 10-week research internship  and increase the competitiveness of their research.

Best regards,
